April 26th - May 2nd

Tuesday, April 26th
Chris Smentkowski
at St. Louis Public Library - FREE
Three very unique local experimental acts will be performing live scores to some experimental Polish films from many different eras.

Wednesday, April 27th
Sunday Candy
at Blank Space - $7
Death Index is hardcore duo featuring members of Merchandise and La Piovra. Heavy hardcore with new wave-style vocals makes for a dark, pounding, punk Bowie sound. It's some creepy stuff.

Thursday, April 28th
Mike Herr
at The Night Owl - $5-$7
Lard Boys are a hardcore punk group from Minneapolis. They sound exactly how their name states. Thick and heavy. With the Lumpy stamp of approval, should be an excellent show. Also the Night Owl looks like a nice place, so try not to fuck it up.

Bruxism #16
Travis Bursik
Wax Fruit
Claude/Hamon/Weinstein
Ethiks' Mind
DJ Metal Oxide
at Schlafly Tap Room - FREE
You know the drill. Bruxism has been one of most consistently good series in St. Louis for some time now and has really thrived at their new home. As always, show is free and this time, it's serving at the tape release show for Rhizomatic St. Louis vol. 4.

Saturday, April 30th
Big Apple Fuzz Boys
The Mad Doctors
Soda Ghost
The Young Eyes
Beach Bodies
at Foam - $5
We got some fuzzy rock 'n rollers in the house. Simple, fast, catchy garage rock and with some real shredding. But this band not afraid to get a little groovy at times. I've never seen doctors rock this hard.

Monday, May 2nd
Monday Night Raw
Hank Wood & the Hammerheads
Q
Black Panties
Mala Leche
NSOD
at Bonerville
I love pro wrestling and Monday Night Raw is in St. Louis on the same day, but I will not be attending that. That's how good Hank Wood & the Hammerheads are. These New York-based punks make a really unique, percussion heavy brand of punk rock that is not to be missed.

Raw is War
Gnary Davidson
Van Buren
Staghorn
at San Loo - $5
If rock bands could get married, Gnarly Davidson would be married to Shitstorm. The Gnarly boys have played here numerous times and destroy every time. I hear they've got some new tunes that will blow your socks off.
