Are You Fucking Kidding Me?
Warm Bodies
Livin' Thing
Trauma Harness (synth set)
Q
Posture
at Bonerville - $7
Seriously, what the fuck? This has to be one of the best lineups assembled in recent memory. It feels like a mini fest will be happening at Bonerville. There is just so much. Warm Bodies, Kansas City punks that are simple on fire right now paired with Mountain Dew and Oreo-fueled Springfield punk rockers Livin' Thing. Also Trauma Harness playing an all synth set. This is too good to be true.

Sunday, July 3rd
Just Me and My Dad
Lechuguillas
The Conformists
Black Panties
Mike Herr
at CBGB
Austin, Texas noise rock cowboys are back in the saddle again. Their music is out of this world. Listening to Lechuguillas has me fearing for my safety because it sounds like the music is going to come out of the speakers and punch me directly in the face. This show will be worth however much Luc asks for at the door.

Post-Coffee
Staghorn
Alaska
Rhone
Mariner
Bike Path
at Sump Coffee - FREE, later at The Bottom Bunk - $5
A double shot of espresso and a double shot of Staghorn please. A glorious double-event where you can attend a listening party for Staghorn's new album, enjoy coffee and then see great bands like Alaska from Las Vegas and Rhone from Chicago. So much happening and it should be tasty.

Rocky Mountain High
Swells
The Dorms
Blight Future
Sunwyrm
at Kismet
I always see Chelsi Webster wearing that cool Swells t-shirt and if Chelsi likes your band, your music is probably really sick. Post-hardcore masters, Swells is definitely a little left of center in the post-hardcore genre, embracing portions of doom and post-rock that is absolutely refreshing.

Daniel Wyche is a phenomenal experimental guitar player and composer from Chicago who has an extensive variety of sounds and will play with your emotions all night long. This show will feature five performances, including four solo performance from each artist and one as a full quartet.

Thursday, June 16th

You know 'em and you enjoy it. Speedy Ortiz is a Massachusetts-based indie rock band that everyone and their grandmother enjoys. From what I hear, they've got a pretty big following in good ole St. Louie so expected a packed Firebird.

Friday, June 17th
All-American Rejects
Weakwick
Hardbody
at Kismet - $5
Once a week on this little blog, we talk about a sick band from Minneapolis coming to town and how rad their scene is. Well, we're doing it again. Weakwick is a two-piece noise punk/garage rock thing. Sounds a lot like your mother's disapproval. Take that how you will.

Saturday, June 18th

If you can't find any bands playing this that you like, please move out of St. Louis. These bands are the best of the best in St. Louis. Check out the full line-up here

Sunday, June 19th
Cave Lizard
at Foam - $7
Lawrence, Kansas' fuzziest fuzzers come back to fuzz things up. Psychic Heat is pulsating and heart pounding. Get ready to feel the burn from the heat these bands are bring. Pun intended, I hate myself.

Monday, June 6, 2016

June 7th - 13th

Wednesday, June 8th
at Blank Space - $7
Philly power trio Backslider makes their way through our wonderful city. A nice mix of punk, noise rock and even a little thrash makes an aggressive tone that is relentless in it's delivery. If you have been missing a little rage in your life, this is the show to get some.

Thursday, June 9th
at Foam
OKC is the hottest spot for punk and hardcore. So many new and old bands coming out of there to be excited about. Life as One is one of those bands to be especially excited for. Straight up old school hardcore. Get wise, show up.

Friday, June 10th
My Bloody Underwear
at Bolozone - $7
Three hard-ripping punks from Texas are playing the infamous Bolozone. This show is absolutely stacked with talent and to quote Nick G. "if you missed them last time, ur fucking dumb because it ruled." This will be a nice night to slam. Get down, get dumb.

Sunday, June 12th
"When a show has 2 flyers you know it's going to be special"
Waveless
Swear Beam
Veil
at CBGB - $7
Minneapolis just keeps churning out phenomenal bands. This time around, we are talking about Waveless. Fuzzy post punk/shoegaze that is easy to get lost in. If this band was from St. Louis, people would try to have them on every show.

Monday, June 13th
Open the Flood Gates
Fucked Up Fuckin System
Porno Glows
at Rootwad Park - $5
It wouldn't be summer time without a generator show on the river banks, now would it? We got another OKC band coming through, so you know it's going to be a wild one. Fucked Up Fuckin System is a slimy d-beat mess featuring members of American Hate. Ask someone in a leather jacket for directions. Make sure they have sick patches, though. If not, it might just be your uncle. Carpool for minimum shit.
