April 19th - 25th

Wednesday, April 20th
Slave Lizard
at CBGB - FREE
Three of the best local bands come together to celebrate every stoner's favorite holiday. You know the one i'm talking about. Show is free. Come hang out with your buds.

Thursday, April 21st
Karuna: Hamid Drake & Adam Rudolph Duet
at Joe's Cafe - $15-$20
Hamid Drake and Adam Rudolph are two world-class jazz percussionists and have been playing with each other for over 40 years, but this is their first tour together. The two have incredible chemistry  that comes with four decades of forming a musical bond.

Friday, April 22nd
My Favorite Band
Tacocat
Boyfriends
Bruiser Queen
at Off Broadway - $10
Tacocat is surf punk band from Seattle that has been one of my favorite bands for the last couple of years. Their songs are incredibly catchy and their lyrics are witty and passive aggressive while remaining uptempo and positive in their delivery. I highly recommend this show and this band.

Joe Finally Found a Venue for This
Stella
The Jockstraps
New Lives
Sunday Candy
at Kismet
Stella is an indie rock/shoegaze band from Evansville, Indiana. This band has everything you could ask for: thumping rhythm section, cool looking pedal boards and tons of reverb. You will be bobbing back and forth through their entire set and you are going to love every second of it.

Saturday, April 23rd
Cunningham/Kingston
Clapp/Clapp Duo
at Kismet Creative Center
A night of electric duos featuring Alex Cunningham (Hardbody, Vernacluar String Trio) and Chad Hickman (Kingston Family Singers) in what I can only imagine will be sharp, piercing and frantic. Also the Clapp Brothers bring a lifetime of chemistry to the stage with their experimental treats.
