We Have Fun Here August 4rd - August 10th

Tuesday, August 4th
Larz
at Foam - $5
Spanish speaking punks from Chicago, Sin Orden, make their way to St. Louis this week with other STL punks Nos Bos and Larz.

Wednesday, August 5th
Not Quite Nothing
The ultra-noodly emo/post-rock band from New Orleans, Tare, will be stopping through to play with some very fun bands. Party Favors is a fun indie rock band from here is St. Louis. Persh is the new project of Kevin of con trails. I have heard good things about them. Not Quite Nothing is another new band from across the river. I have heard good things about them as well. Bring your dancing shoes.
at Kismet Creative Center - $5
at Melt - $7
Pleasure Lefists is a crisp, dark post-punk band from Cleveland. Very influenced by goth-pop and straight up rock and roll. A lot going on with this band and should not be missed. If you are familiar with the punk/post-punk scene here in St. Louis, you know the other three bands on this bill. Trauma Harness is one of the best bands in St. Louis and has been for a while. Veil is a new punk rock super group featuring members of Doom Town, Self Help and Bad Dates. And Swear Beam is a new band as well, featuring members of The Funs and Trauma Harness.

Thursday, August 6th
at Off Broadway - $10-$12
Guitar-wielding mother fuckers from Nashville plan to burn down Off Broadway with their southern rock jams. Seriously, there are four guitar players in this band.  They all can shred. I saw them a few months ago and it was one of the best times of my life.

Friday, August 7th
at Fubar - $8
A sad day for St. Louis music approaches as one of the best local metal bands, Cathedral Fever, is playing their last show. But they are going out with a bang. Playing a long with them is Hell Night, Anodes and the infamous Fister. Come bang your head to Cathedral Fever one last time.

at The Luminary - $8-$10
Known far and wide for his experimental electronic/house music, the Denver-based producer, Thug Entrancer will be playing at St. Louis as a part of the official launch of Random Acts of Silence. Opening the show is local Tekk DJ DMY and jungle-style DJ Trust Image.

Trader Bob's 2nd Annual Tattoo Flash Revival
Friday and Saturday at Trader Bob's Tattoo Shop, they are putting together their second annual flash revival. This is a huge two day tattoo event, featuring historic tattoo designs and tattoo artists from all over the country. On the 8th, head over to The Way Out for an after party.

Saturday, August 8th
at Foam - $7
Those Acid Kitties are at it again. After their incredibly fun fest last week end, they are back to business as normal. And this business is bringing in lo-fi grunge band Daddy Issues from Nashville. They sing about depression and pizza. Also joining them is local punks Maximum Effort. They have a song about Elvis' poop.
