October 13th-19th

Tuesday, October 13th
For the Punx
NOBUNNY
Soda Boys
at Off Broadway - $12
NOBUNNY is the old school punk alter ego of Justin Champlin. Since 2001, NOBUNNY has produced some of the weirdest lo-fi pop punk.  They will be joined by STL weirdos Soda Boys, who, for some reason, cannot stop singing about soda. Bring an umbrella.

Wednesday, October 14th
Those Acid Kats are Weird
Hello Ocho
Teddy Bomber
Tubby Tom
BICYCLEtricycle
at Foam - $5
Those damn Acid Kitties have done it again. Hello Ocho is a psych-rock band with a hint of jazz from the ATL. They have a reputation of putting on some incredible shows. Teddy Bomber is a true C.H.U.D. rock band from Champaign. Joining them is Tubby Tom, the friendly rapper who you will give $5 and BICYCLEtricyle, a dark, drone outfit, both from the STL.

Brian Posehn at The Firebird
Brian Posehn
Jeremy Essig
at The Firebird - $20
Fart joke master and heavy metal enthusiast, Brian Posehn will be bringing his brand of brash, nerdy stand-up comedy to St. Louis for your amusement.

Thursday, October 15th
MME
Willis
Ryan Markovich
at Schlafly Tap Room - FREE
Two groups that could not be more different on the same stage. This is why I love the Taproom. MME is an extremely talented hip-hop collective and Willis is a new wave, experimental, gothic synth-pop trio. Seriously couldn't get more different. But this might be the greatest bill of all-time. You need to go to this.

Friday, October 16th
Charlie Megira is a lo-fi rockabilly legend from Israel, by way North Carolina. With his band, he has been all over the planet. This will be his first time in St. Louis. Joined by rockers from NOLA and STL, The Brainstems, Bantam Foxes and Bottomfeeders. And to fuck everything up, Lumpy & the Dumpers will be in the house as well.

Saturday, October 17th
Hylidae
Sewing Needles
at Music Record Shop
Co-founder of Kissability, Jen Long said, “Cassette tapes aren’t just a format, they’re a culture, and cassette culture is as much about collaboration as doing it yourself. This year we’ve gone even further to try and include as many tape fans around the world. We want as many people as possible to be able to get involved and put out a tape, put on a gig or event, or get hold of that release they really want.”

Imelda Marcos
The Conformists
Complainer
at The Heavy Anchor - $7
Imelda Marcos is a math rock band from Chicago. They bring a heavy, compact brand of math rock that is something to take note of. The Conformists are drudge rock veterans of St. Louis and Complainer is the much darker, angrier version of Spelling Bee.

Sunday, October 18th
Extra Spooky Rock 'n Roll
Prude Boys
Babe Lords
Dinofight!
at Foam - $5
Just in time for Halloween, your favorite Detroit-based garage pop trio that sings about scary stuff like the devil. Come shake your booty to them and garage rockers Babe Lords and sass-punks Dinofight!
