The Deadly Vipers are an all-girl psych-punk band from Detroit (that kind of sounds like Black Sabbath). Their stuff is heavy and catchy is my favorite thing right now. The song Yada Yada is my new favorite song. They will be joined by Big Blonde, a surf-punk band from St. Louis and The Crisis, a politically-fueled punk band, also from St. Louis, that features Foam employees. Tip them heavily at the bar if you like their stuff. Tip them well regardless, actually.

Acid Kat Fest #3 is right around the corner and this week has a a lot fundraising events to help make Acid Kat Fest 3 the best it can be. This show has three very different acts, all hailing from St. Louis, all slated to play Acid Kat Fest. Check it out.

Barnfest is a two-day event in Pacific, Missouri at The Barn. A lot of really good bands are playing. Absolute chaos. Think the Gathering of the Juggalos, minus the Juggalos. Literally everything else is the same. Bring your sleeping-bag.
