May 17th - 23rd

Tuesday, May 17th
Ghost Ice
at The Firebird - $10-$12
The Body is a two-piece doom metal band from Portland. The Body is the perfect example of when less is more. Stripped down and heavy as all get out. The Body brings raw power to a genre that is over-saturated with masturbatory musicianship.

Wednesday, May 18th
Biggie Stardust
at 2720
They killed it at Pü Fest, they killed it Foam with Yowie in November and they are going to kill it again. Stop reading this, watch the video below and then buy all of Ahleuchatistas music and start waiting outside 2720 right now.

Saturday, May 21st
at CBGB - $7
You like Goner Records. Spray Paint is on Goner Records. You like Spray Paint. Slimy garage rock/proto punk from Austin, Texas, Spray Paint is very good. Constant Insult is a straight up rock and roll band from MPLS. Constant Insult is very good.

 Sunday, May 22nd
Philly Punkers
Pinkwash
The Funs
Posture
Mirror Mirror
at Foam
I am so excited for this show. Pinkwash is a garage punk duo from Philadelphia. If you are unfamiliar, you are about to be acquainted. The show also marks the return of Posture. And don't forget the best band in St. Louis and Chicago, The Funs, are playing as well. This show could cost $50 and I'd be plenty okay with that.

How Does He Do It?
Rhys Chatham
Vernacular String Trio
The Luminary - $15-$17
Rhys Chatman has been a composer and multi-instrumentalist for decades and has been a mainstay in experimental music in New York City for quite a while. Chatman is most known for his work with guitars, pushing the boundaries and expectations of what you can do with just an electric guitar.

Monday, May 23rd
Dubb Nubb Birthday Bash
Terror Pigeon
Curt Oren
The Vanilla Beans
Tubby Tom
Art School
at Chill Dawg Cove
Hannah and Delia of Dubb Nubb fame turn a year older. Celebrate with these folk sisters featuring a bunch of awesome bands and Tubby Tom. Ask a dubber or a nubber for the address.
