at Foam - $8
Girlpool is a two-piece from Los Angeles that smoothly blends their minimalist sound with powerful harmonies and bold lyrics. Their debut self-titled EP was one of my favorite releases of 2014. Frankie Cosmos is a lo-fi indie rock four piece from NYC that has many quality releases under their belt since 2012. Joining them will be two of the best bands in St. Louis right now, Strong Force and Posture (both with a new releases you should pick up). Bring your friend who was really into the Juno soundtrack but never really bothered to find anymore music that sounded like that.

Mike Pruitt (aka Twenty Thousand Strongmen) is a living legend. Driving an old school bus, Pruitt looks and sounds like he is from a different era. The grizzly looking Pruitt plays an authentic style of folk and bluegrass with a variety of different traditional instruments. Come listen to his music and his stories that are too unbelievable to make up.

Bad Taste is just good ole punk rock from Carbondale. Nothing much else to it. Early show at Foam with some of the best punk bands in St. Louis. Not to be missed.
Monday, August 17th
at Foam - $7
Fun fact: This show was originally going to be in a basement. Now it's moved to Foam and for good reason. There should be a packed house for the high rollers of Memphis, Nots, as the come back to finished what they started last time around. Along for the ride is Trampoline Team from NOLA that bring you something to bounce to. Also on the bill is KC hardcore boys Blind Dog. On top of all that, St. Louis punk gods Veil and Soda Boys are also playing. Maybe more too who knows?
